My Biography

At the foot of the Swabian Alb, where the hills gently merge into one another and the air smells of forest, stone, and spring, lies Gönningen – a place that feels like a quiet moment of reflection. A village that doesn't loudly tell its stories but preserves them in tuff stone walls, old paths, and gentle landscapes.

When the first colors emerge in spring, Gönningen transforms into a sea of tulips – a legacy from a time when people here set out into the world with seeds and bulbs. Traders who once traveled as far as St. Petersburg and New York, yet always returned to this valley, nestled like a protected haven between Roßberg, Stöffelberg, and Pfullinger Berg.

The Wiesaz flows quietly through the village, past houses made of light tuff stone, past gardens that hum in summer, and past paths that lead up to viewpoints from which one can survey the entire valley. And up there, when the wind sweeps across the Alb, one understands why people have stayed here for centuries: Because Gönningen is a feeling. A calm pulse. A place that sustains.

Between the Gönningen lakes, which originated from old calcareous tuff basins, and the historic village center with its town hall and church, there is a special warmth – a mixture of nature, history, and the quiet diligence of the people who live here.

It is a village that doesn't have to be loud to make an impact. A place that welcomes you like a familiar space – soft, handmade, a little timeless. A place that perfectly matches you and your Cozy Nook Atelier: quiet, close to nature, warm, with a touch of poetry in every detail.

When you enter my studio, it smells of warm wax, fine plaster, and a hint of pigment dust. On my table are molds, colors, small tools, and samples – all ready for the next casting. Here, in this quiet little workshop in Reutlingen, every Cozynook Atelier product is made by hand.

In my small studio in Reutlingen, I pour each product by hand. I mix pigments, test fragrances, smooth edges until they feel like a small stone from nature. I photograph each piece myself, write the texts, build my online shop, pack every order, and fold the tissue paper as if I were preparing a gift for someone I truly care about.

Behind Cozynook Atelier is me – Sabine. One woman, two hands, and a great passion for plaster, colors, and beautiful things. I truly do everything myself: ideas, design, production, shop setup, photos, texts, and of course, packing your order. Every order passes through my hands and carries a piece of my joy in craftsmanship.

I am not a manufacturer, not a team – but an individual with a great love for detail.
