Here you'll find answers to the most common questions about my handmade products from the Cozy Nook Atelier in Reutlingen.
🪨 Plaster Products
What material are your plaster products made from?
All my plaster products are hand-cast from high-quality, fine modeling plaster. Each piece is created in my studio in Reutlingen – hand-poured, sanded, and finished.
Can I scent the plaster products?
Yes! Many of my plaster objects are specially designed to be scented with essential oils. Simply add a few drops to the surface and enjoy the fragrance. The plaster absorbs the scent and releases it slowly.
Can I paint the plaster products myself?
Absolutely! Uncoated plaster products can be beautifully painted with acrylic paints, watercolors, or special plaster paints. For an even result, I recommend applying a thin layer of gesso or white acrylic primer beforehand.
What paints are suitable for painting?
- Acrylic paints – ideal, opaque, and waterproof after drying
- Watercolors – for delicate, transparent effects
- Chalk Paint – for a matte, rustic look
- Gouache – for rich, matte colors
Are the plaster products waterproof?
No – plaster is not waterproof and should not be exposed to moisture permanently. For outdoor use, I recommend sealing with clear acrylic lacquer.
What do "natural characteristics" mean for plaster products?
Since each piece is hand-cast, small air bubbles, fine lines, or slight imperfections may occur. These natural characteristics are not defects – they make each piece unique.
🕯️ Wax & Scent Melts
What wax do you use?
I exclusively use 100% natural soy wax – vegan, paraffin-free, and environmentally friendly.
Are your scent melts vegan?
Yes, all my scent melts and candles are vegan and free from animal ingredients.
How do I use the wax melts?
- Break off a piece of the bar
- Place it in the dish of your wax warmer
- Light a tealight or turn on an electric warmer
- Enjoy the fragrance
How long does one piece scent for?
A single piece scents for approx. 6–10 hours, depending on the strength of the warmer, room size, and air circulation.
Are the scented products suitable for allergy sufferers?
Please read the ingredients carefully in the respective product description. If you have known allergies, please contact me before purchasing.

How long does delivery take?
As all products are handmade, the processing time is usually 2–5 business days. Shipping time is then added to this.
Do you also ship internationally?
Yes, we ship to many European countries. You can find the exact shipping costs at checkout.How are the products packaged?
All products are carefully packaged – unique items and gift articles receive stylish gift packaging with tissue paper and an atelier card.
